The Process Week, the build and after

The Process Week

5 working days · €1,000 excl. VAT · fixed price (introductory price, normally €2,000)

Who it's for

You have a process your ERP doesn't cover, and you want to know what it costs to sort it out properly before you ask for a budget. Or you want to know whether you're better off leaving it. You make sure I can talk to the people who do the process that week.

What I do

  • Interviews with the people who carry out the process, and with whoever manages it
  • The process mapped: steps, handoffs, where it goes wrong
  • What your ERP or a standard module can already do, and what it can't
  • The integration: which data, in which direction, through which API of your ERP
  • Half an hour with your IT department on what they need to do, and what they don't
  • The KPIs that need to be in your reporting

What you get

  • A process map
  • A fit-gap analysis
  • An integration sketch for IT
  • A one-page business case: what the current process costs, next to the price of the build
  • A fixed price and schedule for the build, or well-founded advice not to build
  • All of it in a review session with whoever makes the decision

Your team spends at most 4 hours on it. Start within 10 working days of your go-ahead. The invoice follows the review session, payable within 14 days.

Guarantee

If the report doesn't contain a process description, the requirements and a fixed price with its assumptions, or well-founded advice not to build, you pay nothing.

After the Process Week

You don't have to continue. Everything is yours, even if you go on with someone else. If you start the build with me within 90 days, I credit the full €1,000 against it.

I run at most one Process Week a month, because I run them myself.

Build

Who it's for

You've done the Process Week and want the process out of Excel and into a dedicated application.

What I do

  • The technical design and the data model
  • The application: a web application beside your ERP, built in Python and Django
  • The integration with AFAS, Exact Online or Dynamics 365 Business Central through the API
  • Reporting: the data in a model you can query, with two or three agreed KPIs in the reporting tool you already use
  • Testing with the people who will use it, and the go-live

What you get

  • A working application for your process
  • Reporting from day one, no extra work afterwards
  • Documentation of the design and the code

Payment

Per milestone of the build. If the full project doesn't fit right now, the build can also start with just the first phase.

The first milestone is the technical design. If it shows that an assumption doesn't hold, we discuss the scope again before building any further. Changes after that are agreed in advance. Extra reporting, such as more dashboards or a data warehouse, I price separately.

  • A handover to whoever takes on maintenance
  • Hosting in your own environment, or by me; you choose
  • Support after go-live in the form that suits you, agreed in advance
